On sale today are the Hootie & the Blowfish shows Sept. 15 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre and Sept. 22 at the Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion. . . . Tickets go on sale next Saturday for two Southern California dates of the Further Festival--the tour featuring former members of the Grateful Dead--Aug. 1 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and Aug. 2 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre. The bill is topped by Ratdog (fronted by Dead guitarist Bob Weir), drummer Mickey Hart’s Mystery Box with Bruce Hornsby, Los Lobos and Hot Tuna also appearing. . . . Jerry Lee Lewis and Social Distortion will co-headline Hootenanny ’96 on July 7 at the Oak Canyon Ranch near Irvine Lake, a cross-generational festival of rockabilly and blues roots also featuring Supersuckers, the Blasters, Los Infernos, Southern Culture on the Skids and Cadillac Tramps. . . . Infectious Grooves and Cyco Mico play the Galaxy Concert Theatre in Santa Ana on May 29. Tickets are on sale today.
