Starting next weekend, portions of Nordhoff and Parthenia streets and Roscoe Boulevard will be closed by Southern Pacific Railroad for reconstruction of railroad crossings.
Each street will be closed between Canoga and De Soto avenues for two to four days. Residents who live between the two streets will have access to and from their homes through De Soto Avenue only, according to Ray Wellbaum of the Bureau of Street Maintenance.
Nordhoff will be closed from 5 a.m. May 18 to 7 p.m. May 19. Parthenia will be closed from 5 a.m. May 28 to 7 p.m. May 31. Roscoe will be closed from 5 a.m. June 1 to 7 p.m. June 2. Wellbaum emphasized that reopening times were approximations.
