SEC Honors Vanderbilt’s Palmisano

Michele Palmisano, a junior at Vanderbilt, has won the $10,000 H. Boyd McWhorter Award as the top female scholar-athlete in the Southeastern Conference.
Palmisano, a former All-Ventura County performer from Thousand Oaks High, is a guard on the Commodore basketball team. Last season she averaged 6.4 points a game and was second in the conference in three-point shooting, making 46.9% of her attempts.
An engineering major, Palmisano is a two-time academic All-American.
