WESTMINSTER — Four people were struck by ricocheting bullets after two men opened fire in a restaurant Wednesday evening as they fled without paying for their meals, police said.
The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. in the Dan Vinh restaurant, 10040 McFadden Ave., Police Lt. Rick Main said.
“Our officers believe it was a ‘dine ‘n’ dash,’ ” Main said. “Only this time, as intimidation, they also started shooting.”
Two women and two men, one of whom suffered two bullet wounds, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, Main said. They were treated at local hospitals.
Police are searching for the two men, who were driving a late-model Honda Accord with a license plate reading, in part, 3MP 996.
