Deputies Are Targeting Dangerous Intersection

Speeders beware, the Sheriff’s Department is posting deputies at the intersection of Hampshire Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard this week in hopes of reducing accidents.
The department, which provides police service for the city, blames speeders and drivers who run traffic lights for the large number of accidents there, said Sgt. Ken Bailey of department’s Thousand Oaks traffic bureau.
The hope is that with beefed-up enforcement today through Saturday, with more deputies citing motorists for speeding and failing to obey stop lights, the number of accidents will decline, Bailey said.
