WASHINGTON — Lisa Caputo, press secretary for First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, has resigned, the White House announced Wednesday.
Caputo, Mrs. Clinton’s spokeswoman since August 1992, will join CBS Inc. as vice president of corporate communications.
“I will miss her greatly,” Mrs. Clinton said in a statement.
“She has been a tireless voice for the issues that this administration has championed, an able advisor, a great friend to me and the president and a great public servant.”
Neel Lattimore, a deputy press secretary to the first lady, will replace Caputo.
