Dixie Kings to Kick Off Outdoor Concerts

The city’s free Summer Concerts on the Green begin at 6 p.m. tonight on the Civic Center lawn, 5275 Orange Ave.
The New Orleans Dixie Kings, one of Universal Studios’ house bands, will give the opening concert, sponsored by Friends of Cypress Cultural Arts.
Concert-goers may bring picnic suppers and lawn chairs or blankets, a park spokeswoman said.
