Reward Offered in Hit-and-Run Killing

The president of a Redlands company has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a company employee as he was changing a flat tire on Euclid Street, police said.

Limneo Sanchez, 37, of Anaheim was transporting developmentally disabled adults to their jobs about 10:45 a.m. July 3 when a tire on his car blew out, Police Sgt. Kevin McKeown said.

Sanchez, a job coach at Cole Vocational Services in Redlands, escorted the students to a nearby phone booth and arranged for another driver to pick them up.

Sanchez then walked back to his car on Euclid Street near Edinger Avenue and began fixing the flat tire, McKeown said. While he was working, he was struck and killed by a four-door sedan whose driver fled the scene.

Arnie Cole, president of Cole Vocational Services, offered the $10,000 reward Thursday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver.

The sedan was described as a 1987-1991 gray or charcoal Toyota Camry with right front fender damage.
