WASHINGTON, D.C. : Starr Gets Records for FBI Files Probe

A Texas court has sent Whitewater prosecutor Kenneth W. Starr records from a civil case in which Anthony Marceca, a central figure in the FBI files episode, acknowledged he peeked at his own background file while at the White House. Starr is investigating why Marceca, an Army investigator working at the White House, gathered hundreds of FBI files on officials, including some high-ranking figures from the Reagan and Bush administrations. Meanwhile, House investigators questioned top presidential aide Thomas “Mack” McLarty for more than three hours about the FBI files controversy and the dismissal of White House travel office employees.
