Motorcyclist Killed by Crash Into Pole

A 43-year-old man died from major head trauma early Thursday after his motorcycle ran into a telephone pole.
Investigators said the accident might have been caused by a kickstand left hanging down.
Gilberto Ramirez Rojas of Anaheim was traveling east on Broadway near Hessel Street about 6:45 a.m. when he lost control and ran off the street into the wooden pole, Anaheim police said. Rojas, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
A witness told investigators that the motorcycle’s kickstand was down as Rojas negotiated a curve in the roadway and that might have caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
