Muslim guerrillas killed 17 men by cutting their throats, an Algerian newspaper said. A group of about 10 Muslim rebels armed with shotguns, knives and hatchets forced a passenger bus to stop Thursday night at a fake roadblock the guerrillas set up at the village of Sidi Laadjal, about 190 miles south of Algiers, El Watan said. They picked 17 men between the ages of 17 and 25 after checking the identity cards of the passengers, shepherded them to nearby bush and cut their throats, the newspaper said.
