The Center Ascendant
The Orange County Performing Arts Center’s ascendancy over its five resident companies--the Pacific Symphony, Opera Pacific, Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale and the Philharmonic Society--and its dominance of the overall performance schedule have remained virtually unchanged during the past decade. The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts and Irvine Barclay Theatre, two area venues created in the Center’s wake, continue to grow.
