OUTLOOK
The Tillers have 10 two-way starters returning and Miller, who came to Tustin two years ago from Costa Mesa to replace Tim Ellis, says the team looks a lot better than it did when he got there. Miller ran an unimaginative, but successful, a-couple-of-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust running attack out of a very tight Wing-T in 1995. Foster led the team in rushing with 778 yards in 163 carries. This season, however, Miller wants to pass more and he thinks Bailey or Scott is the guy to do it. DeGrammont, a track and field sensation, could be a good target, particularly in the open field where his speed will take over. A big problem, though, is that only two offensive linemen return. “We’ll be much stronger than we were a year ago. We have speed and size,” Miller said. His goal: get this team ready in the pre-league season so it can be positioned to earn a good playoff spot. As usual, Miller thinks Servite will win it all.
