Rancho Santiago, Sophomore
Cross-Country
Rancho Santiago always has had a reputation of being strong right from the start of the cross-country season. The Dons showed their solid conditioning Saturday by winning the 15-team Fresno Invitational for the second consecutive year. Mitzel, from Mater Dei, led the way for Rancho Santiago, finishing second overall in the four-mile race. His time was 20 minutes 58 seconds, 58 seconds faster than he ran the same race last year.
