From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A man who said he wanted to “stop Dr. Jack” and had a gun in his car was arrested outside the Southfield offices of Jack Kevorkian’s attorney, police said. The man, described only as a 39-year-old from Leetonia, Ohio, was to be arraigned, probably on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon, police said. The man later said he was seeking Kevorkian’s services for himself because he had “severe pains resulting from back and neck problems,” according to Deputy Chief Lloyd Collins. Kevorkian, a retired pathologist, has admitted attending 44 suicides.
