South Pasadena 23, Hoover 12--The Tigers (1-1) turned two second-half Hoover fumbles into touchdowns and beat the Dynamiters (0-2) in a nonleague game at South Pasadena.
Hoover running back Jason Young gained 110 yards in 10 carries, and Edwin Alvarez added 101 yards in 16 carries. Young’s 36-yard touchdown run one minute 10 seconds in to the third quarter gave Hoover a 12-7 lead.
South Pasadena (1-1) bounced back on touchdown passes by Jon Wilder of five and 15 yards.
