Fisher to Be Honored at Big Sisters Event

Actress Carrie Fisher will receive the Big Sisters’ 11th annual Sterling Award on Oct. 27 during “An Evening of Magic” at the Puzzle Zoo at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade.
The Halloween-themed 4-9 p.m. event, featuring magician Lance Burton, will also include laser light shows, a haunted house with special effects and fortunetellers. Actor Richard Dreyfuss is scheduled to present the award to Fisher.
Tickets are $200, $50 for children.
