Chadwick 3, Flintridge Prep 0--Thomas Akiyama kicked a 23-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining for the Dolphins (6-0) in a Prep League opener at St. Francis High.
Matt Moran led the Rebels (3-3) with 64 yards in 13 carries in a game marred by 21 penalties and six turnovers.
Flintridge drove to Chadwick’s eight-yard line in the second quarter, but two consecutive delay of game penalties moved the ball to the 18, where a 35-yard field goal attempt by Jon Brunzell was blocked. Brunzell also had a punt blocked and missed a 27-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter.
Adam Ross completed three of 13 for 15 yards with one interception for Flintridge, which was limited to 42 yards in the second half.
