Ankle Makes Lowery Questionable

USC starting defensive end Willie Lowery starts the week as “questionable” for the Washington State game Saturday at Pullman. Lowery sprained an ankle against Arizona and didn’t play Saturday at Arizona State.

Defensive end/tackle Cedric Jefferson could be out two weeks because of a knee sprain, sustained Saturday.

Starting guard Chris Brymer left the Arizona State game briefly in the second quarter, reporting he “felt something” in the foot he broke over a month ago. He continued to play, and said Sunday his foot was sore. Precautionary X-rays were negative.

Unless USC’s offense can figure out a way to control the ball longer, Saturday’s double-overtime loss may be typical of how the rest of the season goes. The Trojans have been on the short end of time of possession five times this season.
