Bure, Simpson Fined $1,000 for Fights

Pavel Bure and Todd Simpson were each fined $1,000 by the NHL for two separate altercations between the pair in last weekend’s game between the Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks.
Tampa Bay goaltender Daren Puppa will be sidelined at least an additional two weeks. . . . Philadelphia Flyers captain Eric Lindros said he plans to play his first game of the season in less than two weeks after being sidelined because of a groin injury.
