The sextet’s second major-label album quickly becomes monotonous. The off-the-rack hippie jamming, heavily dosed with world music, stays in the same groove too long, and the musicians play hard but infuse little emotion into 14 anthems, love songs and dance numbers. Singer Michael Glabicki’s histrionic caterwauling drastically oversells the often baroque lyrics. (Rusted Root plays Wednesday at the Ventura Theatre and Thursday at the Wiltern.)
