Universal Pictures said it is hiring TriStar executive Stacey Snider as co-president of production, confirming rumors circulating in Hollywood for months.
Snider joins onetime TriStar colleague Marc Platt, who earlier this year was named president of production.
Snider had been president of production since 1992 at TriStar. Projects she helped oversee there include “Sleepless in Seattle,” “Philadelphia” “Legends of the Fall,” and “The Mirror Has Two Faces.”
TriStar on Thursday promoted Amy Baer to executive vice president of production.
