A Pasadena police sergeant’s son believed to have been abducted by his mother during a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo was found safe after the woman surrendered to police in Dallas on Friday.
Officials say 3-year-old Paul Gales Jr. was with his mother, Loistine Drake, when the pair disappeared during a court-monitored visit to the zoo on Valentine’s Day. Drake, a former Pasadena police officer, was fired in 1995 for unexcused absences from duty. Sgt. Paul Gales has legal custody of the boy.
