The body of a man who had been shot to death was discovered inside Griffith Park by a passerby late Saturday morning, police said.
Detectives said the unidentified body was found near Griffith Park and Mount Hollywood drives, on the north side of the park. The man had been shot multiple times in the upper body, police spokesman Mike Partain said.
Partain said the area where the body was found is a popular and heavily used section of Griffith Park. “That part of the park is always filled with joggers, bikers and horseback riders,” he said. “It would appear unlikely that [the shooting] happened there.”
