La Quinta, Junior; Baseball/Catcher
With power, speed and outstanding catching skills, Laird is one of the county’s best all-around players. Last week he provided more evidence, going 10 for 11 with four runs batted in, seven runs and four steals as the Aztecs won the Santa Ana Elks tournament. He was four for four in the 12-4 title-game victory over Covina Charter Oak.

* Marina, senior. Drove in the winning runs in victories over Servite and University, leading Vikings to the title of Big West Invitational.
Dominique DeGrammont/Track and Field
* Tustin, senior. Won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.52 seconds and the 300 hurdles (37.50) at the Trabuco Hills Invitational.
Matt Stickroth/Baseball/First Baseman
* Santa Margarita, junior. Had four RBIs in victory over Newport Harbor in Pride of Coast Red and White Division title game.
