Lavin, Hohensee to Speak Tuesday at Pond Luncheon

Steve Lavin, UCLA basketball coach, and Piranha Coach Mike Hohensee will be the featured speakers at the Sports Newsmakers luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pond.
Lavin, 32, led the Bruins to the Pacific 10 title and into the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament in his first season as head coach. Hohensee, 36, begins his first year with the Piranhas after compiling a 30-14 record at Albany the past three seasons in Arena Football.
Cost of the luncheon, which is open to the public, is $20. Reservations can be made by calling (714) 758-0222. KTLA sportscaster Ed Arnold will serve as emcee.
