Give Mock Credit for ‘Give’

With all due respect to the extraordinary Herbert Zipper whose life was truly an inspiration as the wonderful documentary “Never Give Up” reveals (“Examining Life Filled With Power of Music,” May 22), it should be noted that although Terry Sanders is responsible for the “tightly paced” direction, producing credit goes to Freida Lee Mock along with Sanders.
The wife-husband team received an Academy Award nomination for this film in ‘95, and it was Mock who directed the ’94 Academy Award winner, “Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision,” again with Sanders.
It seems that their mutual vision not only has achieved critical acclaim, but is clearly an inspiration in its own right for the audience and fellow filmmakers.
