Pati Longo, a former Ventura city councilwoman, has been elected chairwoman of the board of directors for the Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence.

She also serves as chairwoman of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program of Ventura County and was appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson to the California Commission on Aging.

* Patty McInnes, broker and co-owner of Scott-McInnes Realtors in Oxnard, was awarded the Accredited Relo Coordinator designation at a recent conference.

The designation is given to individuals who meet educational requirements for handling the duties of a relocation counselor.

The Chicago-based Relo network has more than 1,000 member companies, with 2,000 offices and 35,000 sales associates nationwide.

* Jim Stott, educator and conflict management consultant, and attorney Mark Rutherford have been selected as directors of the Conflict Management Institute, which has offices in Westlake Village and San Diego.

The institute works with the Ventura County Municipal and Superior courts to help resolve disputes through arbitration and mediation.

* James Gloyd and Thomas Dwyer have been hired as office property specialists in the Ventura office of CB Commercial Real Estate Group.

Gloyd was previously with Grubb & Ellis Co., and Dwyer was a property and leasing manager for Insignia Commercial Group.

* Monte Elchoness, a Ventura psychotherapist, has been selected “Outstanding Chapter Leader of the Year” by the Ventura County chapter of the California Assn. of Marriage and Family Therapists. He has been active in the organization since moving to Ventura six years ago.

Elchoness is the author of several books for children and parents.
