Lancaster Power Surge Leads to an 11-7 Victory

Joe Mathis, Miguel Correa and Dusty Wathan hit home runs in an eight-run seventh inning and the Lancaster JetHawks defeated the Bakersfield Blaze, 11-7, on Tuesday night at Bakersfield.
Mathis had three hits, one RBI and scored two runs for Lancaster, which is in the 11th game of a season-long, 12-game road trip.

Right-handed pitchers Jeff Farnsworth and Kevin Gryboski and left-hander Sean Spencer have been placed on the disabled list. Farnsworth, who came out of Monday night’s start with a sore elbow, has been diagnosed with tendinitis. Gryboski has a sore shoulder and Spencer has a staph infection.
Right-hander Chris Beck, who began the season in Lancaster, was to rejoin the JetHawks on Tuesday night. Right-hander Robby Christianson and right-hander Lesli Brea should join the JetHawks today.
