Fizer Helps Tustin Sweep Past Cypress

Aaron Fizer had 11 kills as Tustin swept visiting Cypress in the first round of the Southern Section Division II boys’ volleyball playoffs Thursday.
Daniel Vander Roest added 10 for Tustin (14-2), which won, 15-5, 15-6, 15-2.
Tustin advanced to Tuesday’s second round against the winner of tonight’s match between Bellflower St. John Bosco and Cerritos Gahr.
In Division III volleyball:
Laguna Beach 3, Orangewood Academy 0--Tyler Raynard had 12 kills as Laguna Beach defeated Orangewood Academy in the first round, 15-2, 15-13, 15-6.
Miles McGann had 20 assists for the Artists.
