Chicago Bull Coach Phil Jackson told his players after practice Thursday that he wouldn’t make any decision on his future until the playoffs are finished--despite published reports that the Orlando Magic want their coach in place soon. The Magic reportedly have offered Jackson a five-year, $30-million contract.
Last June, Jackson threatened to retire to a Montana ranch before signing a one-year, $2.7-million contract that allows him to negotiate with, but not sign with, other teams during this year’s playoffs.

A predawn fire destroyed a $2.5-million house owned by Indiana Pacer star Reggie Miller in Fishers, Ind.
Neither Miller nor his wife, Marita, was at the 14,000-square-foot home when the blaze broke out. The four-story home was 70% in flames by the time firefighters arrived, fire chief Mark Elder said.
The Millers had been preparing to move into the house, which was undergoing a renovation.
