LAKE FOREST--Cowboys and Indian fry bread are among highlights of the May 31 Rancho Days Fiesta at Heritage Hill Historical Park, 25151 Serrano Road. The event, honoring the contributions of early Native American, Spanish and Mexican peoples to the area, will include a Native American hoop dancer; a cowboy “shootout”; roping, blacksmithing and branding demonstrations. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. $3 adults; $2 children 12 and under. CLOVERDALE--Black Bart, the area bandit who gained renown in the late 1800s, is the namesake of a May 31 festival featuring square dancing, a restored 1880s stagecoach, rope tricks and competitions such as a cow-chip toss and western costume contest. 9 a.m.-midnight on Cloverdale Boulevard from 1st to 3rd streets. VICTORVILLE--The San Bernardino County Fair, May 31-June 8, marks its golden anniversary this year. Among the highlights will be country music performances, livestock exhibits and a 7,000-gallon shark tank. Couples marking their 50th year anniversary in ’97 can renew their vows June 3 in ceremonies at the fairgrounds. Fair admission is $5 adults; $2, children 6-12; kids under 6 free; $2 parking. ISLETON--This town, population 863, expects about 200,000 people to flood its three-day Cajun-style Crawdad Festival June 13-15. There will be steamed crawdads and alligator tails for sale, and zydeco, Cajun and Dixieland music. Street dances will be held at 7 p.m. June 13 and 14, and a parade along Main Street will begin at noon June 15.
