Car Crash Victim Undergoes Surgery

An Oxnard man who lost control of his car and slammed into a concrete wall early Tuesday underwent surgery for his injuries, hospital officials said.
Luke Langelier, 22, who was listed in critical condition, was driving eastbound on California 34 east of Las Posas Road at about 4:30 a.m. when his car veered off the road south of Camarillo, according to California Highway Patrol officials. The car ran into a drainage ditch, and struck and jumped a concrete wall before landing in another drainage ditch, officers said.
Langelier was airlifted to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he underwent surgery for a broken leg and facial trauma, hospital officials said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
