Reception Planned for New Principal

Hueneme High School will host a reception next week to give parents and residents an opportunity to meet new Principal Roger Rice.
Rice, a 34-year-old administrative dean from E. O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard, will replace Joanne Black when she retires at the end of the school year.
The Oxnard Union High School District recently ended a three-month search for a new principal by choosing Rice from among a dozen candidates.
Booster clubs, bilingual organizations and volunteer groups have also been invited to attend the event, set from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the school library.
