Standout performances in high school track and field
The Notre Dame High 1,600-meter relay team of senior Chris Forde and David Escobar and juniors Justin Fargas and Roderick Arzu strengthened its hold on third on the all-time region list last Saturday when it placed third in the state championships at Hughes Stadium in Sacramento with a time of 3:14.53. That performance followed a school-record 3:14.84 clocking in its qualifying heat Friday.
