Wherever I go, with rare exceptions, whether it be a market, restaurant, store, business office, or even a medical office, I am forced to endure the relentless assault of pop, rock, rap, funk, punk and junk music. I frequently have mentioned this pervasive scourge to managers and employees but my complaints seem to fall on deaf ears (pun intended).
We have waged successful wars against air pollution and secondhand smoke. Our next target should be ear pollution in the marketplace.
