Bear Advertising to Work for 2 Boat Manufacturers

Bear Advertising, a Westlake Village agency specializing in the marine and outdoor industry, was signed to handle public relations for two boat manufacturers introducing new vessels.

Bear will assist Miami-based Sea Vee Boats with the introduction of its new Sea Vee Flats Pro Series. Sea Vee has specialized in semi-custom sportfishing boats for more than 23 years.

Comet Boats of Naples, Fla., a newcomer to the boating market, is launching its first model, the Starfire 22 catamaran, with the help of Bear.

Elsewhere, Oxnard-based Torbert Marketing signed with Idaho’s Aussey Products Inc. to distribute its emu oil-based products.

Owner Deborah Torbert said the oil from the emu--a large, flightless Australian bird related to and resembling the ostrich--has been used medicinally by Australian aborigines for centuries, including as a pain reliever for muscle and joint aches, sunburns and insect bites.
