Elizabeth McBride, 42, costume designer for such hit films as “Thelma and Louise” and “Michael.” McBride was nominated for an Academy Award in 1989 for her costumes for “Driving Miss Daisy.” Her first screen credit came in 1983 with the motion picture “Tender Mercies.” Among her other films were “True Stories,” “Fried Green Tomatoes,” “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Assassins.” Born in Shreveport, La., McBride began her costuming career in Dallas. On Monday in Santa Fe of cancer.
