School Merits Show of Support

Regarding the recent murders linked to former Los Alamitos High School students, I feel that it is important to express support for the faculty, support staff and students of the school.
The community needs to be aware that Los Alamitos’ excellent reputation is no accident. For the past year, I have been substitute teaching primarily at Los Alamitos High, and I continue to be impressed with the level of commitment and caring demonstrated by the staff.
The students show respect for each other and their teachers, and are the most responsible I have encountered anywhere. The students and staff must feel anxiety about the recent publicity, but their positive influence can reach only so far. I feel privileged to be associated with such a fine school.
