Police are warning managers of fast-food restaurants in the Long Beach area to be careful around closing time in light of four holdups this week.
Three takeover-type robberies occurred about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of West Willow Street, the 200 block of Pacific Coast Highway and the 6500 block of Atlantic Avenue, Officer Maria Mendez-Lopez said.
Signal Hill police also reported a robbery at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at a convenience store in the 2700 block of Cherry Avenue.
“[Detectives] believe that [the robbers] are possibly all the same people,” Mendez-Lopez said. She suggested that restaurant managers who see suspicious cars or individuals waiting outside near closing time call 911.
