Protect Your Pets From Fireworks
Please remember your pet’s safety this July 4. The noise of the fireworks causes great fear in some animals. The Humane Society and Animal Regulation have their busiest weeks because of the July 4 commotion. Many beloved pets become homeless, frightened, injured strays.
The best place for your pet, however, is home--safely contained in the house or garage. It is a good idea to leave a radio or television on to help drown out the loud noises of fireworks.
If your pet is lost, please contact the Department of Animal Regulation at 388-4341 and the Humane Society of Ventura County at 656-5031 or 646-6505.
