Several administrative changes took effect Monday at Cal State Dominguez Hills in an effort by President Robert Detweiler to tackle budgetary and management problems.
Yoram Neumann, vice president of academic affairs and university advancement, has been appointed executive vice president of the university and will serve as chief operating officer and chief fiscal officer. Amer El-Ahraf, former executive vice president, has been named vice president of university advancement, overseeing fund-raising efforts on the Carson campus.
Additionally, Robert Zahary, associate vice president for academic planning, has been appointed acting vice president of academic affairs.
“I have decided to make the following changes to strengthen the university’s institutional effectiveness,” Detweiler said. “These changes are in the best interest of Dominguez Hills and its primary mission--providing educational opportunities and service.”
