Missouri has suspended four players, two of them starters, for unspecified team violations.
The suspensions were imposed Thursday, a little more than a week before the team’s season opener at home Sept. 6 against Eastern Michigan.
Coach Larry Smith declined to discuss details of the violations. He said nose tackle Donnell Jones, free safety Harold Piersey, fullback Nathan Proctor and wide receiver Ricky Ross were suspended indefinitely.
