Buena, Bradbury Have No Problems With Notre Dame

Michael Bradbury scored three goals and Luis Sanchez had a goal and two assists to lead Buena High to a 6-0 victory over Notre Dame in a nonleague soccer match at Buena on Thursday.
Bradbury, a senior forward, scored the first goal of the match and the first two goals of the second half. Ariel Hurtado and Chad Sautter also scored for Buena (1-0), and Brad Workman had two assists.
Montclair Prep 5, Vasquez 0--Noah Rosenblum scored a goal in each half and also had two assists for the Mounties (1-0) in a nonleague match at Vasquez.
Antonio Alves, Elliot Hassan and Daniel Mizraki also scored for Montclair Prep, and goalkeeper Brian Whorton made eight saves.
Crescenta Valley 1, Valencia 0--Gene Cho scored on a free kick midway through the second half for the Falcons in a Burroughs tournament pool play game.
The Vikings (1-1) outshot Crescenta Valley, 15-11.
Harvard-Westlake 3, Alhambra 0--Jon Barry, Mark Tobias and Danny Sable each scored one goal for the Wolverines (3-0) in a Burroughs tournament match.
Fillmore 4, L.A. Baptist 0--Nico Jaimes scored two goals for the Flashes (1-1-1) in a nonleague game at L.A. Baptist.
Fillmore goalie Tim Catalano had four saves in the shutout.
Highland 2, Burbank 1--Josh Lowe’s second half goal broke a 1-1 tie for Highland (1-1) in a nonleague game at home.
Reseda 2, North Hollywood 0--Carlos Morlaes scored on a free kick in 37th minute and Kenny Zepeda added a 15-yard shot from the corner 25 minutes into the second half in a Mid-Valley League match at North Hollywood.
Jimmy Oredaz had three saves for North Hollywood (1-1). It was his second shutout of the season.
Harvard-Westlake 3, Alhambra 0--Dawny Sable, Jon Barry and Mark Tobian each scored goals for Harvard-Westlake (3-0) in the Burroughs tournament.
Servite 2, Alemany 1--Matt Perry’s second-half goal turned out to be the difference for the Friars (2-0) in the Burroughs tournament.
Shawn Fawley scored for Alemany (0-1).
St. Francis 5, Palmdale 2--Claudio Basaez scored two goals for the Golden Knights (1-0) in the Burroughs tournament.
GIRLS
Birmingham 15, Sylmar 0--Krissy Oakes scored five goals in the first half and Abby Herrera added three for the Braves (1-0-1), who set a school record for margin of victory at Birmingham.
Granada Hills 4, University 0--Michelle Vega and Deborah Ward each scored two goals for the Highlanders (3-0) in a nonleague game at Granada Hills.
Littlerock 7, Rosamond 0--Alicia Garcia scored three goals in the first 10 minutes for the Lobos (1-1) at Rosamond.
Garcia, who scored a team-high 18 goals for Littlerock last season as a sophomore, had missed the Lobos’ season opener Monday because she was at the dentist.
Quartz Hill 2, Valencia 1--Alyson Bolster and Taryn Horton scored first-half goals for the Rebels (1-1) in a nonleague game at Valencia (0-1).
Alicia Alexander scored later in the period for the Vikings.
Crescenta Valley 3, Harvard-Westlake 0--Rebecca Hidalgo scored the first goal for the Falcons (2-0) in a nonleague game at Crescenta Valley.
Highland 2, Burbank 0--Megan Stewart had one goal and one assist for visiting Highland (1-0-1) in a nonleague match at Burbank (1-1).
Stewart scored on a pass from Debra Perry, and made the corner kick that Jennifer Smith scored on. Smith headed in her own rebound on the play.
L.A. Baptist 8, Fillmore 0--Lisa Jeppson had three goals and two assists and Annie Iverson had two goals and two assists for the Knights (2-0) in a nonleague romp at Fillmore.
Thousand Oaks 4, Canyon 1--Lauren Mercado scored twice and Mara Werring and Meryl O’Connor had one goal each for the Lancers (2-0) in a nonleague game at Canyon (1-1).
Nicki Melillo scored for Canyon.
