Going Big

They’re bodaciously baggy--but that’s the way snow bunnies like their threads. After all, you gotta have enough room to zoom when you’re going big--snowboard lingo for soaring like an eagle. Now it’s Jodi Shapiro’s time to go big.

The designing diva is getting raves from snowboarders for her street-inspired coveralls that go straight from the snow to the dance floor. Made of 100% waterproof nylon with pockets galore, two-way zippers, a waist draw chord and Velcro closures, Shapiro’s one-piece suits--with phat names like Racer X, Groove and Mechanic--are not only functional but as funky as rave wear.

A snowboarder herself, Shapiro was inspired to start her company, Mentor, in March. And proving she’s no snowflake, Shapiro delivered the goods in five styles, all for $288, available at Borderline in Woodland Hills or from Mentor at (818) 224-5634.
