CKE Completes Franchise Purchases

ANAHEIM — CKE Restaurants Inc.’s Hardee’s Food Systems unit completed its purchase of 39 Hardee’s franchised restaurants in St. Louis and surrounding areas.
CKE said the operations, which were owned by several franchise companies led by Spike Ehrhardt, Dave Ebbing and Bob Daly, have combined annual revenues of about $38 million.
CKE said Hardee’s also completed the purchase of 10 franchised Hardee’s restaurants in the Green Bay, Wis., area, from 20th Century Foods Inc. CKE said the 10 units have combined annual revenues of about $9.5 million.
CKE Restaurants operates 3,061 Hardee’s restaurants in 39 states.
