OXNARD — An alleged drug operation that police say took place with a 9-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl present was broken up Friday by narcotics detectives from the Oxnard and Port Hueneme police departments.
Six people were arrested in connection with narcotics sales at a house in the 4700 block of Anchorage Street in Oxnard, authorities said.
During a search of the house, said Oxnard Police Det. Bill Crisostomo, officers seized more than two ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, $1,500 in cash and an AR-15 assault rifle.
Saturday night, three of those arrested were being held in Ventura County Jail on felony drug counts as well as suspicion of child endangerment. Crisostomo identified them as Oxnard residents Deserie Ann Arellanes, 30, and Michael Raymond Arellanes, 29, whose bail was set at $100,000 and $170,000, respectively, and Teresa Ann Rossi, 28, of Port Hueneme, whose bail was set at $20,000.
Anthony Graham, 34, of Oxnard, was taken into custody on suspicion of having a controlled substance for sale and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Two other people, Roger Alfred Miranda, 25, of Port Hueneme and Tony Albert Rossi, 30, of Camarillo were arrested on misdemeanor counts, authorities said.
The children were placed in relatives’ care.
