Roommate Sought in Man’s Shooting

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Huntington Beach police have identified a suspect in the Sunday morning shooting of a 31-year-old as the victim’s 22-year-old roommate.
Justin L. McDonald is suspected of shooting James Elliott, 35, in the stomach after the pair had an argument at their apartment on the 17000 block of Roxanne Lane, police said.
Elliott is in stable condition after undergoing surgery at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
McDonald, who is at large, is described as white, with blue eyes and shaved blond hair, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with many tattoos.
