Intruders Tie Up Woman, Steal Purse

Intruders held a gun to the head of an Oxnard woman before tying her up and ransacking her house during a robbery, police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Monday after two men appeared at the woman’s front door in the 300 block of East Maple and asked her for work. When the woman refused, the two men burst through the door, held a gun to her head and asked her where she stored her gold, police said.
The intruders then tied up the victim and searched her house, eventually fleeing with the victim’s purse and its contents.
A search of the area turned up no clues, authorities said.
