Mayor to View Year Ahead at Chamber

Mayor Raul Godinez II will review the year and discuss his outlook for 1998 at a luncheon meeting Wednesday of the San Fernando Chamber of Commerce.
Godinez said he would talk about the recent gang violence in San Fernando and the city’s economic development.
“I want to focus on San Fernando’s role in the Valley economy,” he said. “We have to figure how we fit into the overall picture.
“We need to make San Fernando a destination. That’s going to be the challenge for us in the coming year,” Godinez said.
The luncheon, which is open to the public, will begin at noon at the Odyssey restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive in Granada Hills. The cost is $16.
